Remember just because it’s happening in Japan does not mean it will not effect us. As we speak radiation is leaking out in many ways through the air, water, and food! These radioactive particles will effect us once they reach our shores, and there have been already scientific claims that some has already been found in rainwater in some cities here in the US.
We are also in the process of making new exclusive remixes of Chang Bang’s “Yellow Sun” track to help in the donation process. All that attend will get a special url link to download for free for supporting us. Plus we will have online a link where you can donate (whatever you can afford) to get the remixes afterwards if you cant attend.
Music: Local djs (various styles) to be announced, for now please get the word out and help us raise some $$ for Peace Boat!
Plus specials on drinks.
Thank You very much, and may God/Goddess bless you in many astounding ways!
ACTIVITY REPORT FROM PEACE BOAT:
Peace Boat sent two advance teams to the affected areas from March 16 to collect information about the damage and needs, and deliver aid including 100 blankets, food including rice and noodles, masks etc. These items were brought directly to evacuation centres in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, upon consultation with local authorities. Since then, staff members have been assisting with distribution of goods in the affected areas, particularly between smaller evacuation centres. The team also delivered meals to Nisshin Hospital and Saito Hospital, where patients had run out of food. Peace Boat is now also conducting assessments of the needs and current situation in each evacuation centre in the area, as well as coordinating requests from other organisations willing to help provide meals and other aid in Ishinomaki.
