ELEVATE Film Festival is the first ever filmmaking competition that challenges
the international film community to create works of social and global importance.

Twenty professional filmmakers from around the globe are given an assignment:
a documentary, a music video, a narrative, or a commercial and must complete it in 7 days.

These films are produced exclusively for this event and will shine in their world premiere
at the Nokia Theatre Oct. 5th. A panel of celebrity judges will vote for a winner in each
category. For the grand finale we will award the winning filmmakers and launch the first
annual Elevate Award Show, honoring celebrity philanthropists for doing their part to Elevate our people and our planet.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL:
The J.U.i.C.E. Hip Hop Dance Festival is an annual showcase of cutting-edge street dance choreography and hip hop culture produced by Antics Performance and J.U.i.C.E. at the outdoor, 1241-seat Ford Amphitheatre.  It will take place on Sat. Oct. 4th, 2008.

JHHDF unites the rhythmic virtuosity and extreme physicality of street dance to “expand [hip hop’s] creative horizons” (Lewis Segal, L.A. Times).  Artistic Directors Amy “Catfox” Campion and Jacob “Kujo” Lyons bring LA’s freshest street dance choreographers to the stage to celebrate and to reinvent hip hop culture.

The JUiCE Hip Hop Dance Festival will showcase “…the local hip-hop community in all its multifaceted athleticism…”   (Lewis Segal, L.A. Times)

UK’s Sean McCabe debut’s his talent for King Street after having had past remixes and productions released on Soulfuric Deep, Fluential, Device, Soundmen on Wax, Tony Records and more. His chunky beat-filled interpretation of this single has a tough enough bass drum and nice enough funky key jabs as to keep the great energy flowing but not overpower the song. Japanese-NYC transplant producer Tomo Experience grooves and soothes the eardrum. His easy kicks and lightly bouncing bassline puts a nice spin on this tune, all the while KT Brooks’ (R.I.P.) fervent vocal laying atop the 2 re-productions.
